Literature Search and Pre-formulation Studies
At HAB Pharma, research and development is focused on translating pharmaceutical science into safe, effective and patient-focused medicines. Our formulation R&D combines scientific expertise, structured development processes and an understanding of drug delivery to develop formulations designed for quality, stability and consistent performance.
From selecting suitable formulations and excipients to optimisation, analytical evaluation and stability testing, we follow a systematic approach to developing robust, scalable dosage forms. Each stage focuses on reproducibility, manufacturability and reliable performance throughout the product lifecycle.
With capabilities spanning conventional, complex and specialised formulations, HAB Pharma takes products from concept through development and towards commercialisation, supporting the progression from scientific research to market-ready medicines.
Our multidisciplinary R&D framework brings together the expertise needed to support pharmaceutical development at every stage.
Development of robust formulations and support for their transfer to manufacturing.
Establishment and validation of analytical methods to assess product quality.
Maintaining adherence to quality standards throughout the development process.
Supporting innovation through structured intellectual property strategies.
Aligning product development with regulatory requirements to support the approval process.
Coordinating cross-functional activities to support timely and efficient execution.
Quality control is an important part of the process, from manufacturing through to final product delivery. We assess potential interactions that may affect product quality and undertake relevant checks on packaging materials.
Where applicable, testing includes evaluating whether a preparation is adsorbed onto plastic surfaces and whether plasticisers, lubricants, pigments or stabilisers may leach from plastic packaging into the preparation.
We also assess the quality of adhesives used for packaging labels as part of our quality checks.

Our R&D capabilities span a range of dosage forms, allowing us to address diverse therapeutic and drug-delivery requirements across product categories.
Alongside conventional dosage forms, we have capabilities in developing complex and specialised formulations for differentiated pharmaceutical products.
Quality by Design (QbD) principles guide our formulation development process. Rather than assessing quality only at the end, we incorporate quality considerations from the beginning.
We combine active pharmaceutical ingredients with suitable excipients and conduct structured laboratory-scale trials to evaluate and optimise formulations. This approach supports reproducibility and helps prepare formulations for manufacturing.
By integrating quality considerations throughout development, we focus on consistency, process control and the transition from laboratory prototypes to commercial-scale production.
At HAB Pharma, quality is an integral part of the R&D lifecycle. From early-stage development and analytical evaluation to documentation and technology transfer, we follow defined protocols, maintain data integrity and conduct structured technical reviews to support consistency, reliability and compliance.
Our quality framework includes stage-wise technical and peer reviews, analytical method validation, comprehensive documentation, and routine equipment calibration and validation.
These measures help identify and address potential deviations early, supporting product robustness before technology transfer to manufacturing. By integrating quality into development from the outset, we establish a foundation for scientific rigour, process discipline and scale-up.
Our formulation capabilities span a range of therapeutic areas, supporting diverse healthcare needs through pharmaceutical development.

Intellectual property management is an integral part of our product development framework. We follow a structured approach to identifying, evaluating, protecting and monitoring intellectual property throughout the development lifecycle, with a focus on safeguarding formulation know-how, process innovation and other proprietary assets.

We follow defined confidentiality protocols and use Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with relevant employees, contractors, customers, vendors, suppliers and external partners.
Access to sensitive technical and commercial information is appropriately controlled to help safeguard formulation information, manufacturing processes, development data and other proprietary assets.

We monitor intellectual property assets and relevant third-party developments as part of our broader IP governance framework. Where appropriate, we take suitable measures to protect the Company's intellectual property rights and proprietary information against unauthorised use or potential infringement.
By integrating intellectual property considerations into product development, we aim to protect proprietary knowledge while supporting continued innovation.
Our multidisciplinary R&D framework encompasses:
Development of robust formulations and seamless transfer to manufacturing.
Establishment and validation of analytical methods to ensure product quality.
Ensuring adherence to quality standards across all development stages.
Supporting innovation through structured IP strategies.
Aligning development with regulatory requirements for successful approvals.
Coordinating cross-functional activities for timely and efficient execution.
